Live Election Results Tomorrow: WB, TN, Assam, Kerala Updates
The results of the assembly elections in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Kerala, and Puducherry are set to be announced on May 4. Voting across these regions was conducted in multiple phases throughout April, with significant political stakes for all major parties involved. Counting of votes will begin early in the morning, and trends are expected to emerge shortly after. In Assam, Kerala, and Puducherry, polling took place on April 9, while Tamil Nadu voted in a single phase on April 23 for all 234 assembly constituencies. West Bengal witnessed a multi-phase election process, with voting held across 294 seats in stages, including major polling rounds on April 23 and April 29. However, one constituency in West Bengal—Falta—has drawn special attention. The Election Commission of India declared the voting there invalid due to reports of widespread irregularities, supported by viral video evidence. As a result, re-polling will be conducted on May 21, and the result for that specific seat will be declared later on May 24. The results for the remaining constituencies in the state will still be released on May 4 as scheduled. Exit polls have offered early projections, though actual results may vary. In Kerala, the contest appears close between the Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the United Democratic Front (UDF), with the UDF slightly ahead in seat predictions. In Tamil Nadu, the DMK-led alliance is expected to secure the largest vote share, followed by the NDA and other regional players. Assam’s exit polls indicate a strong lead for the BJP, potentially winning a majority of seats, while Congress trails behind. In West Bengal, projections suggest a tight race between the BJP and the Trinamool Congress alliance, with both sides expected to secure significant seat shares. As counting day approaches, political parties and voters alike are awaiting the final verdict, which will shape the political landscape in these key regions.
