*CM Shri Vishnu Deo Sai Dedicates State-of-the-Art IT Park, Marking a New Era of Technology and Innovation for Youth* *Major Initiative to Transform Chhattisgarh into a Hub for Digital Innovation and Technology-Driven Employment* Raipur, May 31, 2026/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai dedicated a state-of-the-art IT Park to the public at Civil Lines in Durg district on May 31. It will provide a major boost to technology, innovation and employment opportunities in the region. The Chief Minister described the IT Park as a symbol of new aspirations, technological potential and a self-reliant future for the youth of Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said the state government aims to empower young people not only as job seekers but also as leaders of an innovation-driven, technology-based economy. He stated that the IT Park, developed through the collaboration of the Indian Institute of Technology Bhilai and the Chhattisgarh Government, will serve as an important platform for connecting youth with technical education, skill development, a startup culture, and modern employment opportunities. He stated that the project fulfils an announcement made by the government last year and reflects the administration’s commitment, efficient implementation and development-oriented vision. Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that Chhattisgarh will no longer remain limited to a mineral and agriculture-based economy but will move rapidly towards a future driven by the digital economy, information technology and innovation-led growth. He noted that the Durg-Bhilai region has long been recognised as a centre of education, industry and talent, and that the establishment of the IT Park will further strengthen its position as an emerging hub for technological innovation, digital services and startup ecosystems. He added that the project will create opportunities for local youth to build careers in the modern technology sector without migrating to larger metropolitan cities. School Education Minister Shri Gajendra Yadav stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, technological infrastructure is gaining new momentum across the state. He informed that the project was implemented through a Memorandum of Understanding between IIT Bhilai and the Chhattisgarh Government, and that 40 companies have already agreed to begin operations during the initial phase. The modern IT Park has been developed on approximately 3,900 square metres of land and features a total built-up area of 2,907.26 square metres. The campus includes 40 large office spaces, five spacious halls, a mess facility and other essential amenities. To ensure a secure and well-organised environment, the entire premises have been enclosed with a boundary wall. Member of Parliament Shri Vijay Baghel, MLA Shri Domanlal Korsewada, MLA Shri Ishwar Sahu, Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Khadi and Village Industries Board Shri Rakesh Pandey, along with several public representatives and government officials, were present.
